Fundamentals of Invitational Education – Dr. John M. Novak Presentation
Invitation to Attend – LIP Members
In 2012, Sault College adopted the Invitational Education Environment Concept that was developed through the International Alliance for Invitational Education. As part of the 2013-14 fiscal year projects, the Local Immigration Partnership will be taking a close look at the Fundamentals of Invitational Education to begin creating the Inviting Community Concept.
Dr. John M. Novak, one of the authors of the Fundamentals of Invitational Education will be in Sault Ste. Marie on Monday, May 27th to discuss this concept with Sault College staff from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Multimedia Room. Sault College has graciously extended this invitation to LIP members as an information session to begin planning stages for the Inviting Community Concept. Dr. Novak will be informed that the Sault Ste. Marie LIP members are also in attendance that day.
This presentation will focus on Invitational Education, however it will allow LIP to see the many ways some of the fundamentals can be implemented throughout the community as well. If you are interested in attending this presentation on Monday, May 27 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Sault College, please RSVP to Melissa by May 17. 40 seats will be made available for LIP members so it is very important to confirm your attendance. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
