Located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Hiawatha is a premier destination for winter recreation and sport. With over 50 km of professionally groomed ski trails catering to both classic and skate skiers, 14 km of snowshoeing paths, and dedicated fat biking trails, Hiawatha offers a winter wonderland experience for enthusiasts of all levels. The serene environment, characterized by whispering pines and breathtaking scenery, and provides an ideal backdrop for both novice and advanced adventurers. 

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, Hiawatha Highlands is set to host the January Take: 5 Love Local event! Participants can sign up for "try-it" sessions, with groups starting every 30 minutes, to experience skiing, snowshoeing, or fat biking—whether revisiting a familiar pastime or exploring something entirely new.

In collaboration with Derek from Angelwood Studio, attendees can explore the benefits of a traditional sauna at Hiawatha. Whether opting for a firsthand experience or a tour, the sauna promises relaxation amidst the winter chill.

To warm up after your outdoor activities, Feeding Your Soul Cafe will provide a "build your own chili" bar, offering a hearty and customizable dining option. Additionally, a selection of alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase via cash, debit, or credit.

This Take 5 event at Hiawatha Highlands presents a unique opportunity to network with local businesses and Chamber members, enjoy winter sports, and indulge in comforting food and beverages, all within the picturesque setting of one of Ontario's top winter destinations.
